What to Expect

Come taste the delicious jewel of the Midwest, Dubuque, Iowa! Taste the culinary delights of downtown Dubuque and hear fun stories about this Mississippi gem on this signature walking food tour.

Depending on the day of your tour (our tastings are crafted uniquely per day of the week), you will taste the Beefcake from Dubuque's own 
Foodie Garage Eatery, breakfast-on-a-burger: sausage, eggs, hashbrowns on a ground beef patty in between two pancakes! Enjoy pork belly bao from a fine-dining restaurant in Dubuque that was the first to bring the popular dish to Dubuque. Visit a Mexican restaurant where they make their mouth-watering carnitas with Negro Modelo. Taste a 30-year old Dubuque original sub shop with fresh baked bread and juicy Hormel meats from the Midwest.

In between tastings, your local food tour guide will share stories about the Driftless region's history and other interesting local trivia. From ancient ice sheets that spared Dubuque to an owner/chef who brough açai bowls with fresh fruit to downtown, the lore surrounding Dubuque is sure to captivate.

You'll also see historic sites and city landmarks like, 
the Town Clock, and historic Millwork District. We can't wait for you to join us!
